Do you Provide International Delivery?


We will quote for international shipping on an individual basis to ensure you are getting the best rate possible. Please contact Pamela directly with the item of interest. hello@thewoodgaragellc.com

We Do Not provide shipping for furniture.

How Do I Track My Order?

Once your order is confirmed and received, you will receive a confirmation email from us. All products are made to order unless noted in the product description.  Our average lead time on furniture orders is 2-4weeks, unless otherwise noted in the product description or communicated via email.  We use USPS Priority 2 Day, UPS Ground and FedEX Ground 3-4 Day. A tracking number will be emailed to you so that you may follow the status of your shipment. 


How Do I Return An Item?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return your item within 30 days for a full refund of the retail price less the shipping fees. Items must be returned in original packaging and arrive undamaged. Please email us at: hello@thewoodgaragellc.com before returning your item. Original packing slip must also be included to properly identify your return.


Shipping Damage: If an item arrives to you damaged from the shipping process we will need to file a claim immediately. If the package is clearly damaged and you have reason to suspect the product is severely damaged as well, you can refuse acceptance from your postal carrier. 


We advice taking a picture of the damaged box and all contents and sending the photos to us immediately so that we can file a claim. From this point, we will address the situation with the carrier used and hopefully resolve the issue with a refund from the carrier. If the item is shipped back to us, customer is responsible for return shipping fees.

All custom pieces are final sale: We currently do not accept returns on custom pieces of work. 


What Type Of Wood Do You Use For Furniture?


Our current material of choice is barn wood. Our wood is gathered, cut and prepped by ourselves. Our barn wood is supplied by both a family barn that we took down in the summer of 2016 as well as wood from local barns sourced through Michigan Barn Wood and Salvage. Working with barn wood is substantially more work and labor than other sources of wood; however, we love the rustic nature of this wood and the original character and appeal that it provides our pieces. Its a tough job, but worth it!


We also use many other species of wood for custom pieces and creative projects. If you love our shop and style, but would like a different species of wood, please let us know and we will accommodate you. 

Will My Item Look Exactly Like the Listing Photo?


The answer is both yes and no. Yes, your item will be designed and built the same way. We will use the same stain and finishing processes as in our listing photo, but your item will still have minor differences. No, your item will not be an exact replica because we built EVERYTHING by hand. We don't have computerized equipment for cutting, we don't use an assembly line, we don't carry stock. Everything is handmade, one item at a time. Our selection of wood varies piece by piece. Wood will also accept stain and paint differently, depending on the type. 


Please know that our wood does contain original nails, weathering, warping, knots, cracks, patina. We attempt to keep each piece as original as possible, while still creating a super smooth, modern finish.

Do You Offer A Warranty On Your Furniture?

We currently do not offer a warranty. However, we are good honest people who work with integrity and compassion and if you are the same, lets chat about how we can help. If you are local and we can repair a piece lets see to make that happen. If you are not local, contact us and we'll see if we can guide you through a repair or other avenue. Let us just tell you though, our furniture is built to last.

Can I Get A Custom Piece Made For Me?


Absolutely! We love custom work and building a relationship with our clients. Send us a message  with your thoughts and ideas and we will get back to you right away. 

Do You Provide Local Delivery or Pickup?

Yes, we do provide local delivery. Our fee is $75 within a 60mile radius of Ann Arbor, Canton or Belleville. Custom fees apply to areas outside of this range.

Local pickup is also an option. We currently work out of our home shops and will gladly coordinate a time for you.
